96. The School House

We were commissioned to create a dressing room in the loft of a converted school house in Battersea. We constructed a number of Douglas Fir built in storage areas, heavy duty metal hanging rails, a number of lights and a 2.2m high brushed steel mirror and frame.

As the client is professionally involved in the theatre, we designed the space to be reminiscent of traditional actor changing rooms whilst modernising it to reflect the contemporary grandeur of the rest of the building. We tied the new build into the residence itself using a bold green paint to highlight the existing structural beam in the ceiling.
